She married Aaron M. Traynham, a steel worker in 1970. The couple welcomed 4 children into their lives and she taught them about the love of Christ. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient and loving mother who encouraged them to put God first in all things, pursue their goals, and to have compassion and love for everyone.

Alice is survived by her husband, Aaron M. Traynham; children, Felita (daughter, Havre de Grace, Md), Aaron O. (son, Atlanta, Ga), Richard (son, Atlanta, Ga) and Melissa (daughter, Atlanta, Ga); siblings, Walker Griffin (Clarks Hills, SC), Willie Mae Jackson (Augusta, Ga), Susie Jones (Atlanta, Ga), and Joyce Griffin (Augusta, Ga). She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter-in-law Lacianna Traynham, one brother-in-law Freddie Jackson, and one sister-in-law Eva Lou Griffin. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, Kaleb Traynham, Taylor Traynham, and Aaron Traynham (Trey) and a host of nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her Mother; Mary Liza Griffin, Father; West Griffin, Sisters; Charity Gillyard, Doris Griffin and her Brothers; Ed Griffin, Henry Griffin, George Griffin, and Sammie Griffin.

A service to celebrate the life of Alice Traynham is scheduled for 1:00PM on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Hosannah Baptist Church in Modoc, SC, with a reception to follow after the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alice's life.
